Academician A.A.Akmataliev was elected Honorary Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The Academic Council of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi elected Abdyldazhan Amanturovich Akmataliev, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Ch. Aitmatov, Honorary Professor of the University.

Academician A.A.Akmataliev has been studying Kyrgyz-Kazakh literary relations since 1979.

More than 60 of his articles about Kazakh writers and poets, as well as a book called “Egiz eldin obonu” (“Melody of twin peoples”) were published in the Kazakh language. He lectures at the Kazakh National University, constantly takes part in international conferences dedicated to Abai, Zhambul, Auezov, Mukanov, Seifullin, etc. At one time, being a member of the Dissertation Council of Kazakhstan, he made a great contribution to the training of Kazakh scientists.
