A scientist who makes a great contribution to the Kyrgyz-Kazakh literary and cultural relations, Honorary Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Professor of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Director of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Chingiz Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Academician Akmataliev Abdyldazhan Amanturovich according to Decree President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Joomart Tokayev was awarded the State Award of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Order “Dostyk” (“Friendship”) II degree.

Academician A.A. Akmataliev maintains the closest ties with Kazakh writers and poets, cultural figures of Kazakhstan. Since 1980, more than 60 of his works have been published in the Kazakh press in Kazakh and Russian languages. And his book “Melody of the Twin Nations” was published in Kazakh language in 1989 by the publishing house “Zhazushy”. In it, he analyzes the works of Abay, M. Auezov, Shal akyn, O. Suleimenov, A. Nurpeisov, A. Kekilbaev, O. Bokeev, S. Sakbaev, K. Mukhamedzhanov, D. Isabekov and others. A.A. Akmataliev took part in more than 200 international conferences held on Kazakh soil. Also, together with academicians Z. Kabdolov, Z. Akhmetov, T. Kakishev, S. Kaskabasov, S. Kirebaev, he contributed to the training of scientific students, lectured at the universities of Kazakhstan.
