The participants of the meeting noted that at the current stage of Turkic integration the urgent task facing the Turkic states is the comprehensive deepening of scientific and scientific-technical cooperation between the Turkic countries, including all branches of science, especially technical and natural ones.

During discussion of the agenda items the participants noted the expediency of expanding the scope of competence of the Turkic Academy at the expense of natural and technical sciences.

In this regard, Sh. Mustafayev emphasized that the Turkic Academy as one of the institutions for cooperation of Turkic integration, as well as an international organization and scientific coordination center, can and should create common platforms and mechanisms for the development of cooperation between our countries in the field of science.

In this context, it was proposed to re-evaluate the potential of the Union of Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World as a platform which was created in 2015 under the auspices of the Turkic Academy.

The parties came to the conclusion that it is necessary to implement common projects of a breakthrough nature in the scientific and technical field by scientific centers and scientists in order to give a new impetus to Turkic integration. This is also indicated by the relevant provisions of the strategic document “Turkic World Vision – 2040” which is essentially a kind of road map containing the main directions and goals for the development of the Turkic world for the coming decades.
