On September 1, 2023, the staff of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the scientific circles of the republic congratulated academician, famous statesman and public figure, prominent scientist Abdygany Erkebayev on his 70th anniversary.

Abdygany Erkebayev was born in 1953 in the village of Kara-Teit, Chon-Alai district, Osh region. In 1975, he graduated with honors from the Kyrgyz State University. He began his career as a lecturer in the Department of Propaganda and Cultural work of the Central Committee of the LKYC of Kyrgyzstan, was a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh and the Assembly of People’s Representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, President of the National Academy of Sciences, etc.

A congratulatory speech was delivered by the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, corresponding member K.E.Abdrakhmatov, academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic M.M.Mamytov, A.A.Borubaev, Sh.Zh.Zhorobekova, M.S.Zhumataev, S.Zh. Musaev, O.I.Ibraimov and rectors of universities.

Turning to the labor path of A.Erkebayev, they particularly noted his contribution to Kyrgyz literature, expressed warm feedback and wishes about his social and scientific activities.

At the end of the meeting, A.Erkebayev briefly dwelt on his life path, on how he fit into the sphere of literature, and expressed deep gratitude to the participants of the meeting.
