At the Institute of Language and Literature named after Ch. Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic On December 12, 2022, on the day of literature and the birthday of Chyngyz Aitmatov, a meeting “Kyrgyz writers and Chyngyz Aitmatov” will be held. As part of the event, there will be a presentation of the book “Creative Portraits of Kyrgyz Writers”, translated into Russian and English languages, as well as a new collection of works by Chyngyz Aitmatov in Kyrgyz and Russian languages (in 12 volumes in Kyrgyz language, 12 volumes in Russian language).

The publication “Creative Portraits of Kyrgyz Writers” was published under the general editorship of Academician A. Akmataliev and included a description of the life and work of such writers of the 20th century as S. Karachev, K. Tynystanov, A. Tokombaev, A. Osmonov, T. Sydykbekov, Ch Aitmatov, B. Sarnogoev, Zh. Sadykov, O. Danikeev, R. Ryskulov, O. Sultanov, M. Baizhiev, M. Gaparov, B. Zhakiev, M. Abylkasymova, A. Stamov, Zh. Mamytov, T. Kozhomberdiev , K. Akmatov, K. Zhusubaliev and others. The book is addressed as a teaching aid to teachers of higher educational institutions, students, as well as teachers of secondary schools. The preparation of the publication became possible thanks to the initiative and leadership of Academician A. Akmataliev, as well as sponsorship.

A collection of works of 12 volumes in Kyrgyz language and 12 volumes in Russian language by the famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov has been published. The collections of works included the works of the writer from the earliest story “Newsman Juyo” to the latest novels. For the first time, they include the author’s earlier unpublished works that remained unfinished – the stories “Flute and Earth”, “Gold and Snow”, the story “Date with son” (2-part). His publicistic articles and interviews also found their place in the collected works of the writer. The publication became possible thanks to the help of the publishing house “Turar”.

Representatives of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Writers’ Union of the Kyrgyz Republic, students of higher educational institutions, researchers, public and government figures, literators, media representatives, as well as the general public.

The meeting will be held on December 12, 2022 in the Small Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic at 14:00.
