A talented writer, great thinker, humanist, statesman and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov became the person who built a spiritual bridge between Kyrgyzstan and the rest of the world. This person shared his spiritual wealth and constant creative search with us – with society, with the reader. This year Chyngyz Aitmatov turns 95 years old. On June 12, 2023 the Institute of Language and Literature named after Ch. Aitmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic held a memorial day for the writer. The presentation of the book by Abdyldazhan Akmataliev “Unpublished works of Chyngyz Aitmatov: What is the reason?!…” was held within the framework of the event. The author shared his thoughts about the writer’s works, which have not yet been presented to the reader, which for various reasons have remained only in manuscripts: “Fleita i Zemlya”, “Smerch”, “Svidanie s Ubitym Synom”.

Cultural figures, researchers and readers took part in the event. The chairman of the Assembly of Peoples A. Matubraimov; academician O. Ibraimov; vice-rector of Kyrgyz State University named after Zh. Balasagyna S. Tillebaev; Doctor of Philology, Professor S. Baigaziev, Associate Professor of the Eurasian University named after L.N. Gumilyov A. Alibekuly; Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S. Kaiypov.
