On July 28, 2023 the Vice-President of the NAS of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arabaev Cholponkul Isaevich and the heads of the Research Institutions of the NAS of the Kyrgyz Republic met with the Chinese delegation: Director of the Department of Education of Qinghai Province with Ms. Shen Hongxin, Head of the Department of Commerce of Qinghai Province Gu Huimin and research assistant of the National University of Qinghai Province Ma Tingnan. Issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of science were discussed at the meeting.

Qinghai National University was established in 1948. It is the first university in the western region of China. The University awards bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Management, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Science and Technology, Engineering, Veterinary medicine, Architecture, etc.
Since 2000 the University has started cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and has made a significant contribution to the development of science and education.

The University has a Research institute that attaches great importance to cooperation with Central Asian countries. Currently, the University cooperates with Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Various scholarships are provided for international students.

The Director of the Qinghai Department of Education, Ms. Sheng Hongxing, proposed the creation of research centers between China and Central Asian countries, the exchange of teachers and students, and the implementation of joint research activities.
