On October 17-18, 2023, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding member K.E. Abdrakhmatov took part in the III Forum of International Cooperation “One Belt and One Road”, which was held in Beijing (PRC).

Representatives of more than 150 countries and over 30 international organizations took part in the forum.

The “One Belt and One Road” initiative was put forward in order to increase the value of the Great Silk Road, in the context of expanding interconnectedness, to intensify political dialogue, promote the alignment of communications, ensure the liberalization of trade relations, the movement of capital and the rapprochement of people. “One Belt and One Road” is intended to give an additional impetus to the development of the world economy, open new horizons for global development and create a new platform for international economic cooperation.
