On October 27, 2023, a solemn meeting dedicated to a significant event in the development and strengthening of Kyrgyz-Russian scientific ties was held in the small hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

         On February 28, 2022, after hearing and discussing the information of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding member Abdrakhmatova K.E., at the request of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. 14 dated February 20, 2023) on awarding the title “Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic” to foreign scientists, it was decided to assign it to the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Doctor of Economics Professor Sergey Glazyev for his contribution to the development and strengthening of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation.

         In response, Academician Glazyev S.Yu. thanked for such a high assessment of his scientific potential, promising further long-term cooperation for the benefit of the two countries. He dwelt on the possibilities of economic development of the EAEU in the long term, pointing out that among the CIS countries, the Kyrgyz Republic has excellent raw materials, scientific potential, which will allow it to double its GDP in the near future, digitalize money, and the development of nanomics will make it possible to avoid the great depression in favor of new management methods in monetary, foreign economic, fiscal policy. All this will contribute to the modernization and development of the economy based on internal sources of investment lending, creative self-realization of citizens.

         Summing up his presentation, Academician Glazyev S.Yu. expressed gratitude personally to the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding member Abdrakhmatov K.E. and the entire staff of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic for the warm welcome and wished all participants good health and new scientific achievements.
