On February 29, 2024, the Annual session of the General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the large conference hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic “Based on the results of research and scientific and organizational work for 2023”.

 An exhibition of scientific achievements of the Academy was held before the general meeting.  Scientists and media representatives took part in the exhibition.

 At 10:00 a.m., on the eve of the opening of the annual session of the General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, academician, Doctor of Law, Professor Arabaev Cholponkul Isaevich said that academicians and corresponding members were present at the meeting, there was a quorum, rectors of educational institutions and media representatives were also present. An open vote was held, where everyone agreed. Then the national anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic was performed in a solemn atmosphere.

 Vice-President Ch. I. Arabaev conveyed a welcoming speech to the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding member K.E. Abdrakhmatov. Next, he presented his report.

The second report was presented by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic B.M. Khudaibergenova.      The head of the Financial and Economic Affairs Department of the Academy, U.Y. Abdyldayeva, informed about the results of the Academy’s work in 2023 and the budget for 2024.

 Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic E. J. Baisalov addressed the scientists and senior academicians present at the session with the wish that the government pay attention to scientists.

 And the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, D.S. Kendirbayeva, made a report on topical issues in the field of Science and Education.

 Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adviser to the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic A.A. Aidaraliev, in turn, made a report «Artificial Intelligence: prospects for development in the Kyrgyz Republic».

 The session meeting lasted a long time, at the end academician O. A. Togusakov was present and read out the resolution.

 The scientists present at the meeting announced the adoption of the annual report, gave their consent and unanimously adopted the resolution.

 Vice-President Ch. I. Arabaev announced the awarding of the title of Honorary Academician to scientist N. Kasiev.

The President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Corresponding member K. E. Abdrakhmatov thanked all those present at the general meeting and summed up the results of the session.
