On March 20, 2024, with the support of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, a large-scale event was held in honor of the great Nooruz holiday. All institutes took part in the solemn event organized by the Trade Union Committee and the Department of Chemical Technology, Biomedical and Agricultural Sciences.

Kalyy Nukenova, a library employee, conducted the ceremony:

“Alas, alas, alas,

Ar balaeden kalas.

Aidan aman, jildan esen bololu.

Zhakshylykty Temir berdi,

Zharyk kundu keniri berdi,

Oroobuz danga tolsun!

Oozubuz nanga tolsun!

Director of the Institute of Biotechnology, Academician Zhunushov Asankadyr Temirbekovich and President of the National Academy of Sciences, Corresponding member Abdrakhmatov Kanatbek Ermekovich wished everyone present that this holiday would become a harbinger of new beginnings and great achievements, good health, prosperity, peace and harmony to our state. May Nooruz bring peace, prosperity to our people, happiness and well-being to every family.

Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Academy Arzybayev Tynistan congratulated the present scientists and guests on the Nooruz holiday and familiarized them with the course of the event. The holiday began with the showing of short scenes of national traditions. Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic presented their works in the following stages of the competition: national food, an exhibition of national costumes, musical talents.

By the decision of the judges, all participants were assigned places in the nominations, and prizes were awarded to the following participants:

At the end of the festive event, there was a treat for the audience. They held a tasting and expressed their best wishes and appreciation to the participants of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In conclusion, this year’s Nooruz holiday was celebrated at a high level, all visitors were pleasantly impressed.
