On April 19, 2024, K.E. Abdrakhmatov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, received a delegation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences headed by Mr. ZHANG Yaping, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the People’s Republic of China.

Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of the People’s Republic of China Mr. ZHANG Yaping noted that the PRC and the Kyrgyz Republic are good neighbors with deep roots. The purpose of his visit to the Kyrgyz Republic is to strengthen friendship and develop cooperation in the field of ecology.

He also proposed further cooperation through the exchange of young specialists within the framework of international scientific cooperation under the agreement between the Academy of Sciences of the People’s Republic of China and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, namely through the Research Center for Ecology and Environment of Central Asia and the Kyrgyz-Chinese
