AT THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC A MEETING WAS HELD WITH SCIENTISTS OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

On June 14, 2024, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, K.E. Abdrakhmatov, received a delegation from the Academy of Social Sciences of the People’s Republic of China, headed by Vice-Rector Mr. Ren Zhanming.

          

The bilateral meeting of the delegation headed by the Vice-Rector of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Mr. Ren Zhanming, took place in the conference hall of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was attended by the President, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic K.E. Abdrakhmatov, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, academician Ch.I. Arabaev, Director of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnology named after B. Zhamgyrchinov, academician A. A. Asankanov. 

 

The People’s Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic have deep roots and are fraternal neighboring countries. The purpose of their visit to Kyrgyzstan is to strengthen friendship and develop cooperation in the field of science.

 

During the meeting, Mr. Ren Zhanming proposed the exchange of experience and further cooperation with young specialists within the framework of international scientific cooperation under the agreement between the ASI of the People’s Republic of China and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular through the Kyrgyz-Chinese Center for Cooperation with Humanitarian and Research Centers of Central Asia.

 

         They noted that Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are developing and are at an unprecedented high level of bilateral cooperation. It was also noted that mutual trust, traditional friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two countries contribute to strengthening strategic partnership.

 

         The parties discussed priority issues in all areas of cooperation, including in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

 

          During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of increasing the effectiveness of joint research work, strengthening humanitarian exchange, enhancing tourism development activities, as well as expanding the education and science system between the states.

 

         In conclusion, the President, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic K.E. Abdrakhmatov expressed confidence that the results of the meeting will be accompanied by new useful treaties and agreements that contribute to the significant growth of science and education between the two countries.
